Community Relations Assistant - Summer Student Position

Job Description:
Coordinate summer food program for families in community housing
- Track program expenditures
- Assist and coordinate program development and delivery
- Liaise with community organizations to ensure service delivery
- Organize community events/opportunities for low-income people living in community housing within Hastings County
- Provide information regarding available community programs to community housing residents
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
Enrolled as post-secondary student (College/University) and returning to full-time education at a post-secondary institution in September 2026.
- Strong computer skills (Internet, MS Programs)
- Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Experience/education in social services field required
- Experience/education relating to children, youth and seniors an asset
- Experience with statistical analysis is an asset
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Valid “G” license
- Must have own vehicle or regular access to a vehicle
- Clear police background check
- Confidentiality Agreement must be signed
Work Location: Belleville and/or Trenton
Position Length: May 11 – August 28, 2026

Wage Range: $18.00-$20.00 per hour + 4% vacation per pay
