There are a lot of exciting Canada Day activities going on in Hastings County this long weekend. We wanted to put together a list of the upcoming events, activities, and fireworks displays to help you celebrate the upcoming holiday.
The daylong festivities will include tons of vendors, food, music, and games at Waterside Market capped off by fireworks over Mohawk Bay once the sun goes down.
The Fireworks will kick off on July 1st, at 9:15 PM – 10:00 PM

Stirling will be hosting Canada Day celebrations on Friday, July 1st, 2022 at 6:00pm at the Stirling Fair Grounds. There will be a free BBQ, Bouncy Castle/Slide Combo, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Live music with Dave Bush and The River Valley Riders, then commencing with Fireworks at dusk.

Madoc & Centre Hastings
Madoc and Centre Hastings are hosting a wide range of activities together starting off with a Kiwanis pancake breakfast at the Madoc Kiwanis building. Then at 10 am in Centre Hastings Park there will be a balloon artist, children’s games and activities, BBQ, live music and entertainment. Followed by a spectacular fireworks show, illuminating on Moira Lake concluding Canada Day celebrations.

Tweed is starting celebrations off with as pancake breakfast at 8am in the Tweed Agriculture building followed by a Canada Day Parade, Parking Lot Party & BBQ at the Royal Canadian Legion. At Tweed Park there will be lots of activities like Live Music, Fireman Water Games, Face Painting, Children’s Crafts, Inflatables, Free Cupcakes and Hot Dogs, a Free Swim at Erin Palmateer Pool. At dusk there will be Fireworks, Kernels Popcorn and even free Glow Sticks.

Fireworks and Boat Parade – July 2nd, 2022
On Saturday, July 2nd the Crowe Lake Waterway Association will be having their Boat Parade and Fireworks to celebrate Canada Day.

The light boat parade has been in existence for about 10 years and has grown every year. The
parade features boats of all types and sizes decorated with many flags, a great variety of lights,
signs, music and people having a great time celebrating Canada Day.
The parade route covers the entire lake, forming at the Blairton Lighthouse at approximately
8:30 PM and proceeding along both shores doing a circle by Bayview Park. It ends at Stoney
Island to watch a magnificent fireworks display at dusk.”

There are a lot of activities going on in Wollaston at the Coe Hill Fairgrounds. With a parade kicking things off at 2pm, then a wide range of fun Canada Day activities such as a BBQ, Cake Walk, Crafts, Face Painting, Prizes for best dressed parade attendant, best dressed dog, and best floats. Then don’t miss the fireworks at dusk (Approx. 9:30pm) over Wollaston Lake.

In Bancroft starting at 1pm there are a bunch of activities going on with something for everyone this Canada Day! Kids Activities, Live Music, Great Food, Fresh Produce, Cool Trucks, Fancy Cars and fantastic people!
